Pretty much as it says. How do you do the purge when running alky. What gas? Premix? How long? New to alky this will be my first time doing it.

i use premium ya wanna mix the ratio the same as your running with alky and same oil. i do it till it will barely run with help fromt he throttle. Some guys just unhook there fuel line and use a purge bottle i like to drain the alky from my tank and just pour my purge fuel right into the tank.

I was using race gas to purge (ran it in the 250R) but didn't like how it was purging.  Seems like it wasn't burning good and died too easy.  Going back to 87 & the same oil I mix in the alky.

Lol ^^^^   I pull a line off my carb and drain my alky out of my fuel tank, pour 93 oct/ benol mix (same as your alky) 20:1, 28:1, 32:1 etc....  Run it until it runs like crap basically, 2 minutes on average, Than I pull my carbs off and dump the purge gas out of the bowls.  5 minutes with everything on average

Same response here. Pull my fuel line and drain the tank. Add about a half gallon of 87 premix (28-1 ratio for me)

in my gas tank , slouch it around to remove any alky residue and fire the bike up. I run it until I feel confident that the alky has cycled out.

Smokes like a freight train but It will run as long as I blip the throttle.

That all depends on moisture and other things, Some people have gone weeks with no issues. Some people have gone a weekend and there shit was all gummed up. I always just purged at the end of the day its not worth the risk to me.
