gear change

Thinkn of making a gear change on my 10 mil. I'm blastn my tires until second year then it starts to pull. Current setup is stock primary 14 41. I want to first gear lanch. Thinkn a 15 tooth in fro t would help the tires grab better on start. Tires r 12stag 80ro. Racing 300 sand.

On my 10mil I run 16/43  for 1st gear launches and on my 6mil I use 16/41.

I've got a 10 mil that likes 16/43 and one that likes 15/43 with the same tires and chassis. What's the mph at the end?

Im running 23" 74 rollouts. Tire size plays a big role. 17-43 for 1st gear starts. 16-41 wasnt bad either. but that was for the hill. now im at 15-43 2nd gear starts and the 10 cub likes it a lil better.. all hill gearing!

ive got a pretty big tire with 80 to 81 roll out so im try 15 up front this weekend cuz i got it on my sand road. i got 14 41 on it now ands as soon as i hit second i pull the front wheels straight up in the and air.

yup that will work. According to my calculations. 15-41 to 15-43 will yield very close to my gearing ratios with smaller tires.

My serval is running 16-41 and I can launch 1st gear with ease. I launch 2nd or 3rd gear most of the time
