mother trucker Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 i have a stock arm kit laying around and my buddy wants to use it on his dune buggy that's a light weight 2 seater 750 pounds so far but will the a-arms take the beating of this magnitude i told him i dont think its a good idea but my main concern is the part below can that hold this kind of weight heck money is money tho ill sell it to him either way Quote
Deadbeat Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 750 pounds without passengers...fuck the weight is all up the back though, i still wouldnt really expect quad stuff to last too long on a thousand pound total (coz of passenger weight) dune buggy a small single seater fun cart style contraption sure what is it going to powered by? So Cal Suspension Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 Not a chance in hell. You don't want to be responsible for him dying. A banshee is 380lbs, and people bend arms all the time. Double the weight, and there's no way it's going to hold up to any real abuse. 1 Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 Fucking stupid fucking fuck tards! Give them to him and volunteer for the first ride. Save us all the tax money. Fucking stupid idiot. Quote

So Cal Suspension Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 he did Uh, so he doesn't have a bender that he can make arms? Tell this guy to give up now. I'm giving no more advice. this sounds like a death trap waiting to happen, and I want nothing to do with it. From here on out, I'll just be talking shit. Quote
Deadbeat Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 maybe look at older side by side stuff...must be a few dead engineless ones out there vdub frontends can take real pounding...its not real sexy but it simple, there is a thousand uprades out there for it too Quote
mother trucker Posted August 3, 2013 Author Report Posted August 3, 2013 he wants my help but i dont know where to begine with a-arms and get the geometry right Quote
pickerg1 Posted August 21, 2013 Report Posted August 21, 2013 What about finding some off a vw dune buggy from back in the day. Or find a way to make jeep wrangler parts work. Think automotive instead of motorsports imo to withstand the abuse. Quote
