Bondo Posted October 31, 2003 Report Share Posted October 31, 2003 somebody told me that the little plastic piece held on by the Main Jet (I think it's officially called the "Splash Guard") can be removed for more fuel flow. skykingcory Posted October 31, 2003 Report Share Posted October 31, 2003 I believe that piece is just to keep the fuel from sloshing around so bad to make sure the jet has a consistent amout of fuel to have access to. The jet has a hole much smaller than the splash guard so I don't think it would make a difference since the jet would be more restrictive. The jet is the limiting part of the puzzle. Even in theory if it did allow more fuel, it wouldn't be beneficial. You have to have more oxygen available to the engine before it would help any. Would be the same as jetting up without doing any mods. Would just make you run rich as hell if it did help, which I don't see how it would.
