SICK BOY Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 Can anyone tell me what they think of the vito's power pistons?I'm thinking of buying a set to finish the complete rebuild I'm doing, but first wanted to see what you guys have to say. Quote
Screamin_Banshee Posted October 30, 2003 Report Posted October 30, 2003 Remember Vito's pistons are made by Wiseco, but to Vito's specs, so if u decide to go that route, then then u are gettin a quality made piston. If your not ported I would try the SS pistons- I had them in my 96- made great power and lasted untill I fooked em up- to much compression and timing not and didnt use a good enough fuel...... Quote
ghost Posted October 31, 2003 Report Posted October 31, 2003 drag raced for 2 years on vitos pistons no problems, great power too. Quote

Meat Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 Hey iv been running the same set of Vito's PowerPistons for 3 years now. Id buy em again, they've stood up to my reliability standards. Here's some pics of a standard Wiseco(left) next to a PowerPiston(right)...... Quote
fixitrod Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 WOW, it's completely different. Not only does it change the port timing, the skirt is way thicker... which is good. Thanks for the pics meat. Quote
SICK BOY Posted November 1, 2003 Author Report Posted November 1, 2003 Meat thanks for the pics-I'm sold on them.I sent for a set yesterday. Quote
. Posted November 1, 2003 Report Posted November 1, 2003 that price is correct, I called them to make sure. I'm getting a set. Quote
Meat Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 the skirt is way thicker... which is good. Take a look at the second picture down, compare the thicknesses at the intake windows, it really shows how much beefier the Vito's pistons are. Iv heard of guys breaking skirts on Vitos pistons and screamin' about how they are junk, but the set im running lasted 3 long hard years and they are holding up fine. Did I get lucky and get one of the good sets of Vito's?? I dont think so. Vito's rules and Id buy em again tomorrow. Quote
MRMOONEY Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 got any pics from the top? i wana see how the do the ex side thanks Quote
