mx1986 Posted May 6, 2013 Report Posted May 6, 2013 I wondering if my timing is to crazy. I have a gray ground strap that's about an 1/8 inch from the end of the strap. It's not at the bend. My real question is which way does the timing mark move if u add more timing towards the end of the ground strap or towards where the strap is attached to the plug. 10 mil cub Drag port 17cc domes 39mm Kehins Vf3 CPI big bore +7 Quote
Finch Posted May 6, 2013 Report Posted May 6, 2013 less timing closer to the end of the strap more toward the bend. Quote
dajogejr Posted May 6, 2013 Report Posted May 6, 2013 What is your elevation? If you're at or near sea level...I'd be very, very weary of adding too much timing on a 10 mil cub with 17cc domes. Have you measured the cc of the domes? Also, you may lose top end/MPH adding much more timing to a motor.. I've bumped timing to the point the ET remained the same but I lost MPH because the motor was fighting itself. Quote
mx1986 Posted May 6, 2013 Author Report Posted May 6, 2013 1600 ft. Its 300ft sand dragger. And I see ur point Quote
J-Madd Posted May 6, 2013 Report Posted May 6, 2013 I ran +7 on my 10 mil with BB CPIs, 41pwks, 20 cc domes last year. Gonna try +8 this year on that motor. It was a little lazy to clean out, thinking that may help. Quote
