keihin carb question

Can the adjustable idle built into the choke on my keihin carbs affect top end performance? If anyone knows where a good starting point is from all in or all the way out, please let me know.

If they are 34 PJ's they are always about 6 1/2 - 7 1/2 turns out from being bottomed out. Typically I throw them on at 7 turns for just about any banshee build and they are way close.
