Smokie the two stroke Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Ok guys I have a 4mill stock cylinder with dune/play port 35mm carbs modquad head with custom cut domes power pro drag pipes chariot intake with internal crossover and chariot reeds running +4 degrees advanced and if I'm cruising along and pin it it falls on its face unless it's got a lot of r's built up any ideas I'm leaning towards jetting but stumped on what to jet it at I'm at 1,188 ft? special06shee Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 Sounds like a lean condition from the needle! Pull the needles and lower the clip two positions! If your needle is already there do some research and find a richer needle Quote
Pasi S. Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 I´m not the one, who can help you, but these guys may need more info, like who did the port work? 35PWK, or Air Strikers? What slow and main jets you have in you carbs now, and the needle + position. I had similar problem with CEL needles. I haven´t worked out the problem yet and I am using richer needles. Quote
Smokie the two stroke Posted March 15, 2013 Author Report Posted March 15, 2013 I'm running the CEL needles on middle clip 45 pilots and 152 mains I believe everything done at HJR I moved needle one clip and seemed to help plugs are cardboard brown so doesn't seem lean but I will try one more clip and see if that helps. My buddy has 38 pwks and has no dead spot at all so I don't think it's over carbed. Quote
sleeper06 Posted March 15, 2013 Report Posted March 15, 2013 48-50 pilot 155-160 main dek or dgh needles or try different needle positions with cel I personally like d series needles with drag pipes Quote
