Talltim92 Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 I have a 2001 banshee, here are the mods I have done in order Pro circuit exhaust K&N intake Dyno jet kit stage 3 V force 3 reed cages with reed valve spacers Itp rims with hole shots My quad is fast yet really reliable. I run 32:1 gas on 93 octane. I wanna keep it reliable but I want more power!! So what mod should I do next? I was thinking cool head with 21 or 20cc domes? I'm 500ft above sea level. Please give me your opinion, thanks very much in advance for any input! Quote
BeeCanBanshee Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Advance your timing good bang for the buck. +4 is what most do. Quote
Talltim92 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 First of all, this is my first post on this forum and I love it already. Nothing beats a fast response. Thanks a lot bee. How would I go about advancing it, and what does it usually cost? Quote
Talltim92 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 Zilla, I don't really have experience with many other jets but the job done to this quad seems the best I've ridden. They guy who did it said its the healthiest banshee he's jetted and it was one of te best he's done. I'm real interested in both mods. Which one first? And why 22cc not 21? Quote
Talltim92 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 So I adjust the aftermarket plate to plus 4 and just swap em out? Quote
Talltim92 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 I'd also like to keep it safe so I think ill go with 22. Will I see much of a difference? Isn't stock like 23 or 22.5 Quote
Talltim92 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 Zilla thanks a lot for your help. It looks like I'm gonna do the timing first. Will I see a good difference with 4 degrees? Quote
BeeCanBanshee Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 After you buy your timing plate just search for how to install. Like zilla said its very easy. USE THE RIGHT TOOLS. Right tools make it easy and smooth. If you have they money do both at the same time. But the cool head is a little expensive if you buy new. But you could fine a used one for around 150. Quote
Talltim92 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 Thank you both for your help. Real good first experience for this forum. I just got done with making the choice of keeping the banshee. I was thinking about getting into 4 strokes. But my banshee has so much more potential, it's one of the few not abused ones. What's your thought on 4 pokes? Quote

BeeCanBanshee Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 I love my banshee. I had a 4stroke and I liked it to but its no banshee. I do want another 4stroke though for riding rocky and muddy trails. My shee is for drag strip, open roads and sand. Spending to much time and money on a frame up just to go through mud. 1 Quote
Talltim92 Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 I'm having a guy bring up a yfz today. 04, lightly modded. Pretty good condition. I also have a guy who wants to give me his 07 raptor 700. What do you's think of that? 1 Quote
Larry's Shee Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Modify stock timing plate=free. Gets about +4 advance Quote
