Trying to get the plastic gear to come off the impeller shaft.  Have removed the clip and the washer, but that damn gear does not wanna budge.  Reading other threads it looks like it should come right off, but mine does not.  Any tricks or ideas?  Thanks guys.

It might have gotten hot at one point and fused itself to the shaft. If you had a little press you might be able to pop it loose by taken the small impeller cover off and pressing on the shaft! Worth a shot if you don't want to hit with a hammer!

I could destroy the plastic gear and get it off that way, but I prefer not to.

Send me 10.00 and I will ship you a good plastic gear.

Take off the e-clip, remove washer, pull straight up on plastic gear, push out pin and lightly tap the shaft out.

even better send me 10 and ill send ya a gear and a oem impeller

The pin that goes through the shaft prevents the shaft from going through the bearing and out the impeller side. Do not pound on the shaft. Heat or destroy the gear and then buy a billet gear from Mull.

I didn't.  Broke the gear to get it off.  Removed impeller.  Bearing shot.  Got to order one and the rubber seal.......and gear.  Thanks again.
