87BRBanshee Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 So I want to cut my fenders but im not sure how I want to go about it. I know i want to cut the fronts quite a bit, and maybe the rear a tad. How are cut fenders on trails? Anyone getting hit with rocks and stuff? I just dont want to cut my fenders then have to buy new ones becasue Im getting hit with flying rocks and shit Quote
Finch Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 i left my rears uncut for trails rocks and stuff wasnt a big issue for me it was mud or slipping off the peg and rolling my leg. pretty much just mud and puddles suck Quote
87BRBanshee Posted December 7, 2012 Author Report Posted December 7, 2012 Yea I try to stay away from mud. some puddles are a little hard to dodge but a little water dont hurt. Quote
Jereme6655 Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 Mud is the only issue. Other than that I have never been hit by a rock kicked up be my own bike. Others bikes......well....thats a different story... Quote
rjdgriff Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 I always wanted to keep my full fenders for trail riding, but once I got cut fenders (front and rear) I was sold. It is very nice having no fenders trail riding, especially on tighter trails. Mud is the only time they kinda suck. On the other hand, without fenders it is quick and easy as hell to wash when you do find mud lol Quote
general_lee_banshee Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 I kept my rear uncut , and cut my front those big floppy ears are ugly Quote
