Shaunisheep Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 Hey guys, Just got a couple of quick questions in regards to my banshee i could really use some help on, basically my old shaft has had the splines shredded off it so ive had to drill a hole in it has a temporary fix to get my riding but i have recently aquired a new shaft for my bike i just wanted to know: >Im fairly mechanically minded although never worked on a gearbox before is it fairly simple? >do i have to split the whole box to swap it out? >anyone care to take the time to give me some things i should look out for when replacing it? 98_shee Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 It's not that hard to change out. You don't have to split the cases, just pull the clutch cover and clutch basket off an it will slide out. Quote

J-Madd Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 Get a Clymer manual. You'll need to set the eccentric adjuster thingy when you replace the shaft. The manual makes it simple. Quote
