James_21 Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 What is done to the cases when they say they been epoxyed? What are the advantage's of having it done? And does it have to be done? I just have no clue that's why I'm asking thanks guys Quote
sprinklerman Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 usually its when they were trenched or sometime when they get too frisky matching them to the transfers on the cyls, and hit air. So then they have to fill the hole with epoxy. If they were trenched for something bigger than a 10mm they usually HAVE to be epoxied. Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 He's building a 10DM. I think I got him squared away. Quote

James_21 Posted November 16, 2012 Author Report Posted November 16, 2012 Oh ok so that's what it looks like now I got an even better idea thanks guys! Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Your cases won't trench all the way through on your 10mm. I doubt Cameron does anything with the bottom. There will probably be some epoxy work on the top case for the DM cylinders. Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 I'm not sure if Cameron uses epoxy or not. He's never done a stock cased DM for me. Quote
James_21 Posted November 16, 2012 Author Report Posted November 16, 2012 As long as I can run it for next year then ill be happy, then ill pick up the mattoon cases at the end of the season and transfer the stuff over. Quote
shanYE west Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 10dm i'd use welded cases. Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Is it me or does that epoxy job look bad? How many epoxied motors have you ever even seen?! Quote
