Good rear shock replacement?

I want to update my 25 year old rear shock. Should I just get another stocker off a new machine or is there an affordable option? Does anything else swap over like a 400ex shock? I put a 400ex on my blaster and it made a world of difference.

Just send your old shock to mattscss and have him rebuild it for you, ppl say they are better than new when he is done
