I am wondering if anyone has a problem with there banshee looses water. I have replaced the water pump, gear, and seal. It has been bored and I loose my water sometimes alot when it is hot and othertimes i only loose alittle. When it is hot out and I run it hard (I only ride in the sand) I seem to loose the most. I just put an oversize raditor in it to hel p keep it cool as It was getting hot. any help is appreciated.

If its overheating its most likely a jetting issue and you are making it hot. Also, adding timing will increase heat. Whats your mods and jetting and elevation?

I believe i am running the 300 and I run both at 4000 feet and at sea level. I am fat on the top end for sure. I blew up the motor as it was rebuilt and the guy who did the work advanced the timing to 9 degrees so it detonated. So I rebuilt it again and retarted the timing to roughly 3-4 degrees advanced. ( I believe it is advanced the only way you can turn the timing plate.) It has cpi pipes and a cool head with stock domes in it (ithink 22cc) I had it jetted to run both elevations without constantly changing jetts everytime i ride at different elevations. I guess it was more for sea level and It will just run a little richer t 4000 feet. The whole reason for the first rebuild was a bad water pump gear and the water pump was not pumping. fixed that and it gurgles and after riding and I lost all my water from my bottle and out of my radiator. The motor was bored during the rebuild but not sure how far. It was only 1 or 2 sizes up. I just installed a oversized radiator and will test it this weekend.

I'm having the same problem with my Banshee also. It runs good but looses water when I ride it hard. I only use it in Glamis and the motor: 4 Mil cube ported by Rudy Kurtz at Port Magic, running 34 mm pj's soon to be 39 mm mukunis by K&T, CPI inframe drag Pipes. I think that my problem is the cool head from trinity. It may be an oring that has given out. I was going to try and take the head off and see if i could see any leakage issues. Mine also shoots water out of the over flow line on the radator when I get into the power band. I see that you are running a cool head also it may be an oring. I'll let you know my findings

Ok, I ran the bike on the street buy by my home again just before taking off the head. it was doing the same thing leaking water out the over flow, and while running with the radiator cap off. Coolant would shoot out when I reved the motor. I took off the head and found a blown head gasket on the left cylinder. Half the oring was missing. This is a Trinity Stage 4 Cool Head. I will be replace the oring and trying it again. But i know that the problem will have gone away. Good look on your findings!!

so was it the o ring like you thought. which o ring was it. i have had my head odd several times and all the orings look good. I can pull it off again and recheck it. I even bought a new o ring kit for it. I loose water while riding and when i am at a stand still and give it some throtle. it is a slow leak. I do loose it from the overflow bottle. I loose abouot a 1/4 inch of antifreeze after a hour ride or so.

could be just puking out of ur overflow onto the ground?

I do not thik that it is just overflowing on the ground when i am losing 1/4 inch of antifreeze after a hour ride. there is something else going on and i am not 100% sure.
