I have an 01, and on a recent riding trip the throttle cable broke where it splits off to the carbs. I bought a new cable, but I'm not exactly sure on what i need to take apart on the carbs. Do i need to remove them completely from the motor to take the side plates off? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Quote

Just take the caps off and the slides will come out, should be pretty self explanitory from there. Quote
