traxx2003 Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Okay, so I just ordered a Leager/Elka long travel suspension for the shee, but what should I do with the rear suspension? What is everybody doing? I know there is an Elka rear shock, but $1300-1500 is way more than I would like to spend. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Quote

gotta_goatsfast Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Matt (socal suspension) can really make your rear shock perform for a fraction of the cash you'd lay down for an Elka. He resprung my shock and worked the internals... it really does make a difference. Also, what type of riding do you do? You may benefit from a shorter swingarm (-1 or -1.5). Quote
So Cal Suspension Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Thanks guys. I've had outstanding results rebuilding, revalving, and respringing the stock rear shock. The special I was running for the 4th of July is over, but the normal price is only $218.00 plus shipping. The only reason I can offer these shocks for such a great price is simple: I do a TON of them, and I'm set up to do them right the first time, every time. The stock rear shock is actually a very good shock. In order to get a shock with compression and rebound adjustment, you'd be looking at a minimum of a stage 4 Elka. I see valving accuracies right in line with top of the line Elka's on the dyno. If you're interested, shoot me a PM with your weight, riding style, bike setup, and your riding terrain, and I can get you set up with a properly set up shock and get you back in the dirt. Quote
