Wondering how many of yall have done/do this?

I was looking through a scrapbook I have, and came across some pictures of mine, and my friends quads with timeslips, got me to thinking.

As I posted before, I have been off of sport quads for almost 8 years now. Anyhow, I remember one of our favorite things to do was take our quads to the track.

We never had anything set up specifically for the track, just getting an idea of what they would do.

We ran on trail tires, no swingarms or wheelie bars.

I do remember a few times.

I had a Raptor with exhaust, intake, and 1 tooth larger on the front sprocket. It ran a 14.68 @ 81mph

Friend had a pretty stock banshee with pipes and a tooth larger that ran a 14.76 @ 80mph

I also got a few timeslips with an 89 LT500 that I built. Pretty stock machine. LRD pipe, 39.5 PWK, it ran a 14.22 @ 84mph

Never got a chance to run the Banshees that I had, but I expect pretty mediocre times out of them as they were pretty stock.

We had a good friend that owned a business at the end of an industrial BLVD in our city. Fri and Sat nights, we would line our cars and quads up, and race till the sun came up. Had a blast. Cant tell you how many bolt on LT1 and 5.0 Mustangs a decent running quad will kill in the 1/8mi.

We always ran the unsuspecting car owners in 1/8mi races only. Little did they know, that they would come flying by us at the end of the 1/4th as the quads always had their tounges hanging out a little after the 1/8th mi, even with an extra tooth or 2 in the front.

Anyone else ever do this? Post up some times!

Did two runs with my bolt on shee w/15 front tooth-- ran first run 82.1mph st 14.4sec and was really feathering the throttle--didn't want a melt down and second run 84.4 at 14.1 sec--held it open a little longer and less feathering--was not used to launching on such a sticky surface and took it easy on both starts-only time I have ever took anything down the track-- it was awesome!! :headbang: -i bought a 16 tooth but its still in the package as we never went back--was at US41 in indiana about 8 years ago when they would have street car chaos. I love it when someone says their quad goes 100mph and they have stock gearing and just a set of pipes!!! :shootself:

I have made it couple of times, just for a plug chops.

17.5" rears. 18-41 gearing, pump gas.

12.8 and 92.6

My bike was running way rich and I hit 6th gear before 660ft (close to 620ft)
