CalBanshee Posted July 12, 2012 Report Share Posted July 12, 2012 im camped here at driftwood in the siltcoos recreation area in florence. im thinking about heading south tomorrow morning to check out some other riding areas. wheres a good place to stage for the day? ive heard about spin reel and a couple others. id like to find "comp hill" or whatever race hill is there. any suggestions? The first staging are you come too at Winchester is free...it's a county park,....the next staging area down at the end of the road is federal, so there is a $5.00 day use charge FYI. Further south is Spinreel, then houser, then hoserfall in that order, all have staging use areas. Have fun! Dalton Posted July 12, 2012 Report Share Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) I would say Winchester or horsefall...... probably more horsefall boxcar for drag racing! There is an official drag strip down at horsefall, haven't seen it yet it's new. Winchester is mostly hillclimbs, bowls, and trails. At Winchester all the way at the end staging there is a flat section where people bring it and race...
