Okiepred Posted June 27, 2012 Report Posted June 27, 2012 I have a hr204 crank with ck 158 rods and wanting to run blaster pistons! What do I have to do besides having the head milled? And what kind of power will this make? Thanks Quote
shanYE west Posted June 27, 2012 Report Posted June 27, 2012 I have a hr204 crank with ck 158 rods and wanting to run blaster pistons! What do I have to do besides having the head milled? And what kind of power will this make? Thanks why are you wanting to run blaster pistons? depending on your cylinders. blasters pistons are not possible. Also.. you'll need more then just milling the head to work with a blaster piston. Quote
Okiepred Posted June 27, 2012 Author Report Posted June 27, 2012 I have heard a few people around talking about having blaster pistons in their banshees! I just got a motor that has blaster pistons and 4mil crank with broke rod but can't see where the pistons hit anywhere! It only had about 8 hours on the crank and pistons! Quote
mopar1rules Posted June 27, 2012 Report Posted June 27, 2012 Blaster pistons will change port timing as well. Quote
Okiepred Posted June 27, 2012 Author Report Posted June 27, 2012 Yea I can see that now! The blaster ports are a good 1/2" lower from the wrist pin! Quote
mopar1rules Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 The intake windows in the piston skirt aren't what you get concerned about, its the piston crown edge that dictates the port timing of the ports in the cylinder. The blaster piston has a different dimension, between the piston crown edge to the wristpin bore, versus the stock banshee piston or 795 series piston. Understand? Quote
Okiepred Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 I have a pair of 68mm cub pistons and a set of 66mm blaster pistons and the only difference in them is the port holes! They are almost identical besides the port holes! Quote
BANSHEE HP Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 if theyre both wiseco pistons they are exactly the same. blaster pistons are available in 66-68.25mm, and the cub uses a .080 stk blaster piston(573mo6800). Quote
472 supercub Posted July 4, 2012 Report Posted July 4, 2012 i just changed from a blaster setup 69.45mm big bore on a vitos 4mm crank with long rods motor was indeed mean Quote
