Hi guys

I was wondering. do most of you use oem yamaha gaskets and gaskets etc. when swapping out your crank and splitting your cases?

Would there be a list to follow in preparation of doing a job like this? It would be my first time and Id like to pre order everything so I have the parts necessary on hand when reassembling.

Thanks

Check out the bottom end assembly walkthrough in my signature.

You will need both crank seals, and the sprocket output shaft seal. The rest of the seals and crap you can put in later. Those 3 seals are the only things you will need to replace when you split your cases. There are lots of little parts that commonly wear out that should be replaced, and those are outlined in my walkthrough.

Thanks so much so are those all oem yamaha parts? If so is there any list that I can find the part numbers so I can just save time and give

the info to the dealer to order? It would be easier and faster that way

Fuck the dealership. They want to much for the seals.

I just did a full rebuild last month - called Andy at m&m/no limits, and he talked me through everything i'd need and put an order together for me. i have no doubt any of the parts dealers who sponsor this site would do the same.

Most of our site sponsors carry all the parts/tools required to disassemble and reassemble the entire motor. My choices would be either Jeff at FAST Racing (farmandsandtoys.com) Kevin from HJR (herrjugsracing.com or Andy from m&m---> now no limit powers ports (m&matvonline.com

All of these guys are to notch guys that can build banshee motors in their sleep.....

Also don't forget the tools that are needed....like the flywheel puller... DO NOT use a jaw style puller as it will result in a bent flywheel needing replacement..

Also the motion pro clutch holding tool makes thing a breeze.
