VF2 reeds problem

Recommended Posts

Put new pedals on, took the bike out for maybe a total of 30 min, and quit running on one side. Found out its the reeds on the right side. First the screws where working out and the center part of the reed carrier was working itself back towards the carb! Wtf. Have pro des intake and reed spacers. What am I missing? Must b something to keep the reeds in place??

With VF2s, the back side (carb side) of the cage needs to be against something or the center part will push out. You need the VF2 gasket that has a smaller square hole in it and you need the reed cage to be against the intake. Here is the gasket.

Here is the type of intake to use, or something similar.

Reed spacers have too big of a center hole in them.
