TWILES Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 The bike has never had a real good blue spark. I bought it a few months ago and its been running a little funny but OK. My wife was riding it at Turkey Bay behind me today and it was doing great. She was lugging it around a little too much and when she hammered it on the road it shut down. We got home with it and both the new plugs were fouled but looked new. I've never seen both foul at the same time. I put new plugs in it and kicked it over and the sparks on both were yellow at best. I has new caps and I checked the clearance on the pickups and cleaned them with steal wool after we bought it. I'm assuming that since there IS a spark, its either the coil or stator. Its a 2001 and I have no idea what kind of life it had. I had a Banshee for 5 years I bought new in 99 and never had a electrical problem so I'm lost. Please help. Travis Quote
Jereme6655 Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 What mods are done to it right now? What jetting is it running currently? Is the choke tube back in place for starting? Quote

All you need is a thicker stator it will create a hotter spark and boost the electrical current from your coil so your lights will even be brighter Quote

I don't have lights and mods have nothing to do with spark. Quote
