bracketracer Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 Ok so I have to bore my cylinders. What should I go to with a stock head and still be able to do some trail ridding with out worrying about it getting to hot all the time I was thinking 20 over would be ok any suggestions Quote
sheerider11 Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 You take it to a reputable place, Pay money, get them back with matching pistons, and run it. It depends if there are grooves, gouges, or a taper. They take all that into account and fix it. You don't tell them what size to go to. You don't have to worry about heat till your over 66. Quote
dave5.0 Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 Go big as u can. It'll make all kinds of power. Quote
Nieskes Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 Why would you want to waste your bores? So the next time you blow it up you got to buy new cylinders? Sounds silly to me, go as little as you can! Quote

guns4children Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 Like was said above, you don't want to go any larger then you have to. Increasing bore size will NOT add noticeable power to your bike and may lead to over heating problems with the bore being to close to the water jackets Quote
booxzzy Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 Na screw that. Bigger is always better if thats so buy 700cc kit or the case with 4cylinders Quote
