can i use 3bond on this

I'm out of reed cage gaskets and I was trying to get my motor assembled. Local dealer don't know they're butt from a whole in the ground and i didn't want to wait 3 days to get them from FAST. I'd like to get it together so I can do a leak down test on it. Can I use 3bond without any worries or should I just wait for gaskets? Thanks.

i use the sheets of gasket material they have at most local hardware stores to make my own gaskets. 3 dollors and you can make at least 20 of them..

Re-use the old ones if not ripped, with a little 3bond on each side of them. Or go on ebay and see if you cant find any dirt cheap and just overnight them.

Never thought of that....I would assume napa or a part store should have it in stock?

had to use ultra black gasket maker on my other reed cages once.never had any leaks i think lol,its the same shit i use on my case halves

I went to the parts store....cut my own gaskets and placed a light coat of 3bond on them. Sealed up great ...motor held 10th psi for 30 minutes so it should be good to go.
