Mud_n_sans Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 Hello! So...I had a polished clutch cover and it cracked behind the kickstarter shaft where they are prone to split. Got some new covers and polished them and installed one on my banshee. Previously, I had a purchased a pro-design water pump cover/drain plate. Also I had on my old clutch cover a billet polished water pump cover. It appears that the drain screw must have been a tight fit before because the drain screw rubbed the inside of the cover. With my new clutch cover, if I put the three screws in the water pump cover and tighten them up there is a 1/8 gap all the way around after the cover meets the screw head. Because the cover is aluminum, i could force the gap closed by tightening the screws but I dont like the idea of doing that. I want to find a cover that clears the drain screw. I purchased a new cover that I was assured would clear the drain screw that turned out to be more shallow than the one I had. I asked all the local shops with no luck. I have had no luck with online retailers as they are all drop shippers. Can't get a hold of anyone at the manufacturers to get depth measurements. Does anyone else run a pro design ez drain plate? What water pump cover did you get to fit? What is the depth measurement? Please help me find a cover that clears the drain screw. Thanks! Quote
Jereme6655 Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 I'd call Jeff at FAST (farmandsandtoys.com) or Kevin at herrjugsracing.com and ask them.....I'm sure they've run into the situations before and will be able to advise you on what covers will fit Quote
rubberneck Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 I have the prodesign drain plate on my bike and the Cascade polished cover fits with no problems. Quote
