I knocked the piston out but i need to know weather i can just hone them out or if i need to get them fully re nickle plated again. Someone told me i have to send them back into the main center but i don have the money for that so could i grab some help? Quote
Phelps Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 a standard rock hone wont work. takes a diamond hone. if the nik isnt hurt just has melted aluminum on the walls someone MIGHT be able to clean it up. otherwise you're gonna have to send them off. Quote
themechanic Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 Muriatic acid wipes your melted pistion right off the cylinder, be carefull though getting it all over will be bad. i just put a little on a rag and wipes it right off Quote
