motorpsycho Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Need new tires. Looking at going with the Cheng Shin's however I've got 10" rims. Any reason I shouldnt run the 22-10-10 on the rear? They dont offer a 20-10-10 which is closer to stock size. I know the tire is taller and and will change my overall gearing, but any other reason to avoid this size? I really dont want to change rims to a 9" either. Thanks in advance. Quote
Acheron Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 Depending on how you ride the 22's may have a lot of tire roll. Quote
motorpsycho Posted May 1, 2012 Author Report Posted May 1, 2012 (edited) Just trail riding, btw..... Also, if I go with the 22 on the back, am I better off going taller on the front? Edited May 1, 2012 by motorpsycho Quote
motorpsycho Posted May 1, 2012 Author Report Posted May 1, 2012 How about the front? 21-7-10? 22-7-10? Quote
ticktock Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 I bought new tired rims and a set of 4/115 hubs for right around 225$. 9" give you more options. I bought kt335's Quote
bikerjon Posted May 1, 2012 Report Posted May 1, 2012 I run 23'S up front with 22's in the rear on a 10" rim. Not much tire roll to speak up. I did gear down to 13/42. I ride trails and it works well. Lots of clearance for obstacles. Quote
