The bosses that the clutch bolts screw into just sheared off, how the hell does this even happen? Lucky I a whole spare clutch from my last fiasco.... This quad is breaking my heart :(

Holy smokes, I never seen a clutch do that before. Atleast its an easy fix if nothing else is damaged.

Whats a good rule o thumb to tighten those thigs? I usually tighten em till they stop then back em out a few turns.

 

there is your problem. get a damn clymers manual and follow the directions EXACTLY.

 

I just snug them up though.

Yeah that's bad and get a close up of that basket, it looks really grooved up.

you most likely over tighten the screws and put to much stress on the inner hub.

 

I had this samething happen to me...as stated before it came from you over tighten the bolts. just snug them up & you will be ok.
