if there is no washer under the main jet will this cause ur bike not to idle

 

also

 

 

on my right carb i have a leak gas is comeing out the drain plug on the bowl. i check all the screws an they are all tight

Don't know about idle but will mess with everything else. If float needle is good and laevel is set, try this http://www.blasterforum.com/do-yourself-20/easy-almost-free-way-stop-leaky-carbs-33335/ Also check O-ring on outside of needle seat.
