In or Out?

I been working on a drag build am im looking for a set of drag pipes but dont really know if i should go with In or Out frames. How does the power compare between both? And what brand gives more hp? I still havent picked up cylinders but im leaning toward HJR drag cubs. Thanks guys

Most so called drag type/topend hp inframes such as shearer and cpi will be 5 to 10% less power than their out of frames. A well built motor even with inframes can be very fast but the same well built motor is faster with oofs. In my opinion there is no better than Shearers. CPI also has a loyal following and are very good pipes.

OOF's are usually louder and can pose some mounting problems but they offer better performance and they make the bike easier to work on.

Best bet is to ask your builder which brand and size to go with. Everyone sets up their porting and domes a bit different. 421 cub can be set up to run very well with many pipes. Three most common will be Shearer SB, CPI SB and CPI BB.

shear same side out frames. if they are to loud get silenced version. 4 springs, and one bolt they fall off the bike. no burnt plastic, no burt or cooked fuel lines, no carbs baning against pipes, no burnt filters from stinger tubes no burnt leggs from big ass pipes sticking out and you have to sit on the damn bumper to keep the nose down..
