Finch Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 thats a big pilot imo wheres your air screw at? Quote
slobanshee Posted March 19, 2012 Author Report Posted March 19, 2012 About 1 3/4 out. Played around and this starts fantastic and has a nice idle. Quote
Finch Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 ya but pilot also has some to do through out the whole range with that big of a main i dont see ya being lean up top but i would assume your low to mid is pretty rich Quote
slobanshee Posted March 19, 2012 Author Report Posted March 19, 2012 Any idea why ring is so high up? Think drop pilot to 27.5? This is a 465 cub btw Quote
Finch Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 hmm stock carbs on a cub that work pretty good? Quote
slobanshee Posted March 19, 2012 Author Report Posted March 19, 2012 30mm atleast. Not ideal by any means but what I have to work with at the moment. Quote
Finch Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 ya i feel ya there. id try it again maybe change it and do a run and see what happens and if it looks like first one i wouldnt bother cutting it Quote
slobanshee Posted March 19, 2012 Author Report Posted March 19, 2012 Wat do you think. Up on mains and down on needle and pilots? That's alot of changes but would make a big change... Quote
Finch Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 being a cub i have no idea sir just change one thing at a time so ya know whats making a diff ya get screwd if ya change more then one then ya have no clue what made the diff that main seems huge but like i said i im on a stocker so im sure everything is a diff Quote
slobanshee Posted March 19, 2012 Author Report Posted March 19, 2012 It seemed large to me. I figured the small carbs could only flow so much air regardless of engine size. Quote
andrew3160 Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 It seemed large to me. I figured the small carbs could only flow so much air regardless of engine size. I was running a 360 main and 27.5 pilot with stock carbs and pro circuits on a dune ported 4 mill. Try one more run and pull the plugs. Something doesn't seem right. Quote
slobanshee Posted March 19, 2012 Author Report Posted March 19, 2012 What kind of spark plug is that Br8es Quote
EvilBanshee Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 I would Only change 1 thing at a time, if your Bike idols and starts fine. Leave the pilot for now. Play with mains. To mee, if it were to be lean, that ring no matter where it is should not be that dark. But lets be safe, throw 5 sizes up in Main. And do another run, it if runs worse, and your plugs are "blacker" (richer) Then you know your going the wrong way. Quote
