Sup guys, I'm new to 2 strokes and have a few ?s. I recently bought an 05 banshee, for what I can see it only has a k&n filter and cdi pipes. What ratio should I use on my fuel? And what's a good brand for the oil? Thanks Vic..

cpi? um i run all mine at 40-1 with klotz. never had a problem with that ratio

Same here. 40:1 with Klotz. I used to use motul 800 but found it hard to come by where I live so I switched to Klotz.

I dont think Ive ever seen Klotz at an auto parts store......you'll probably have to order it or go to a stealership

I personally have never seen Klotz or any banshee stuff at an auto parts store such as Napa or Autozone. I have always purchased my 2 stroke oil from any of the local off road shops / Atv shops where I live or off rockymountainatv.com

 

I am however a newer member to bansheehq so you may want to check the bansheehq site sponsor list to see if any of them offer it at a better price because I haven't had to purchase any since becoming a member so I don't know.

Ok cool, there's a Polaris store near by, ill give them a call... I'm planning on doing a port and coolheads later on, should I stick to that ratio or go a little richer?

amsoil dominator oil at 40 to 1 great oil, easy to find

Stick to your same ratio. Only thing you would have to change is the fuel octane, but that depends on how what domes you use.
