Remove Burnt Stuff From Pipes

Almost went over the bars, legs clenched the bike, and melted a 5-6" hole in my riding pants to the pipe.

It's melted and burnt on there Real good. WD-40 isn't going to penetrate this. Do I need to find someone with a Soda blast machine? Easy Off Oven Cleaner? I read a-lot of things, but usually people are dealing with minor amounts of crud.

I tried Gun Cleaner and metal drywall scraper blade tool, and it was unable to remove it. Steel wool won't do anyting. would a brass wire wheel destroy the chrome?

oven cleaner and steel wool. I've removed WAY worse shit than that from pipes with those two items. Spray the over-cleaner on and let it sit and do its job for a bit.

Yeah , theoven cleaner needs to sit on it for awhile to break it down . Soak some paper towels in the oven cleaner and lay it on the pipe . Let it work on it for 30 minutes then go after it with the steel wool .
