boysen rad valve vs stock reed cage

just wondering,with porting its all about air flow,with boysen rad valve it looks as if there is restriction compaired to a stock reed cage,whats up with that?

I don't have the boysen, just the vf but I think its basically a venturi effect and acts as an accelerator. Just guessing tho

i had good luck with the cage but i also took a dremel tool and opened it up a little bit. it was for a blaster..

i took a dremel to mine also,but i just gave it the knife effect

there are 2 diff styles of rad valve the old ones are very rare. they dont have as much of a velocity effect to them..

 

one of my favorite intake set ups was a set of 28mm pwks and some highly worked rad valves there are all kinds of mis matches int he castings and i feel there is a lot of good in them

 

that said a set of vf3's work just as good if not better with much less work.
