Dunefreak Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Is the clutch basket supposed to rotate at all on the gear? When the basket is on the bike you can rotate it a little bit on the riveted gear back and forth. Wore out or¿ Quote
BigRed350x Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Its normal as long as its just a little bit. There are actually cushions between the basket and the gear that will absorb some of the impact when you load the clutch. As long as its not excessive its ok. Quote

Here is mine the other day. Quote
ticktock Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Clutch Cushions are shot as they are saying. Call Jeff at FAST. He can get one out to you quickly. You could rebuild a stock basket but there are no bolts for it because they are riveted in. The new basket comes with cushions, bolts, basket and plate. You need your old ring gear. Just grind off the rivets. 169 $ for a Magnum Billet basket. noise goes away, clutch is tight, no issues at all afterwards. Hope that helps, This is another Video of the shot Cushions Adam Quote
