welcome to the hq.. and the pleasure of owning a banshee. it could be a lot of different things so you might as well start going through that bike. check your flywheel for rust and pickup gap, and new plugs, check airfilter and clean. then try adjusting your idle and or air screw. you might go ahead and do a leakdown test to rule out an airleak. then make sure your fuel is good and flowing freely. let us know what you find.

the bike runs really strong from lowwer mid to upper mid range. i know the carbs are out of sync working on that as we speak. leak down is fine, new stater and cdi. new plugs also. should this set up run with the current jetting or should i be going in a differant direction. any thought on the idle and air screw settings.

and thanks for the warm welcome also.

id take the carbs apart and clean them real good do one at a time b/c they are diff and don't forget the choke tube that goes in between them.

doing that now. thats why i was asking about the jets while i have them apart.

Does it break up on top end or fall on its face? I would try going up to a 300 or 310 main if that makes it worse try going smaller. Set your air screw at 1.5-2 turns out. To sync stock carbs looks for a small window in the side of them where the slides go in. With the engine off hold the throttle wide open and look through that window and you should see a cutout or a small hole in your slide line both of them up in that window and they should be sync'd.

thanks knew about the sight glass for the sync , looks like a trial and error on the jet set up but everyone has been most helpful thus far. any other suggestions are welcome. and thanks for all the help.
