Hard shifting from 1st to 2nd

I've got a 421 cub and its hard to shift from 1st to 2nd. I've heard that a modified star is what I need. Any ideas??? Thanks Ben

Is your clutch adjusted correctly? How about the eccentric screw....or you could have a bent shift fork. You need ti be more specific...are you trying to shift without the clutch.....are you tying to shift fast....are you trying to shift under load? Is this a new problem or did you buy the bike like this?

I'm using the clutch, yes trying to shift fast, yes shifting under load. The bike only has this problem when I'm racing it. Otherwise everything is fine.

Where your shifting fast under load id say you would need a shift star mod it made mine go in alot easier

Modded shift shaft will help. Maybe easy shift too

you need a full transmission update..
