I may have to tear into the bottom end of my motor and here is my question. I am running a stock stroke with a hot rods crank and race porting. If i have to tear into my bottom end, would doing a 4 mil help me out hp wise? I talked to the guy that owned the bike before me and he told me that a 4 mil wouldn't do much good with the porting on that bike. Is this true?

A 4mil wont do alot without getting your jugs ported for the 4mil. That being said its highly doubtful that a builder can report those cylinders. Best bet would be to buy a set of jugs off of someone that are either already ported or on stock port and have them ported.
