banshee421cc Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Hey everyone im new to this board and just wanted to say my 1999 yamaha banshee was not getting spark and i figured out the problem, and if anyone else is having this problem i hope this works, well i had my banshee in my garage for about 2 months just taking a break and pulled it out 3 days ago to fire it up, i flushed the gas tank and had the carbs and reeds cleaned and it didnt fire up so i stripped the whole thing looking for my problem, and i was not getting spark to either coils so i unscrewed the boots that go over the spark plug and put my spark plug in the coil and thank god it got spark so i went up to malcom smiths and got some new ngk boots and spark plugs for 12 bucks and my banshee runs great . hope it helps Quote

Jereme6655 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Yep....because ALL electronics have a shelf life.....and when your gettin smacked with that kind of a jolt up to 10k a minute.....your gonna get crabby too. But in all honesty it is a problem that a lot of guys on here have had. Its pretty common for the cables to test out of spec and give all sorts of odd ball problems and symptoms..... Quote
