i run 1/4 mile, if your just starting out, start with chassis before you go horsepower. You will spend enough just on a back rest, wheelie bar, tires on wheels, suspension setup, gearing, tire pressures and this is just the begining. Take a pen and paper everytime you race and start recording info on your pressures and setups along with 60 ft times, and temperatures. It is alot of fun but it takes more than one person to keep you moving forward on a asphalt track. Let me know if you have anymore questions. I live in Michigan, where you located?

thanks for the input i live in Delaware and yes my plans for this season is to get the rest of the set up first, i already got new tires and wheels the suspension im using struts and was very impress with the improvement, got somebody working on my wheelie bar, i might run stock swing arm untill next season or im looking to use a +4, im running stock gears any sugestions on gearing?...now for the motor since its all stock i want to keep it simple for this year i want to eliminate air box and install k&n pods, drag exhaust system, vforce3 reeds, some kind of port job and whatever is needed to tune it right, this motor is in great condition no need for me to tear it down yet...there is no shops around here that works with this kind of motors so i need to find a shop also,
