can you cut and extend the stock a arms?

Could you cut the stock a arms and just use some pipe to extend them? By that i mean cut them, use a bigger piece of pipe and slip the a arms ends into them to extend them a few inches?

Yes it can be done but I dont think its a safe mod. I would say just buy a set of +2+1 arms you can usually snatch up a used set for about $200-250. Cutting you stock arms and re-welding them may cause them to be weak, and I would hate to hear one a-arm broke while you were out riding that would definitley be a trip to the E.R.

Anything can be done if you really want to do it that bad but unless you have a lot of faith in your welding I would make sure my health isnurance and life insurance is paid up!!!! I would not sleeve it I would slug the pipe so it did not look like shit if I was going to do but then again I wouldnt do it.
