willardwright59
Im modding my dads banshee out because hes going to a polaris rzr 900 so he told me its mine, so far it has pc pipes, wiseco pistons, vf3 reeds, cool head 21cc domes, +4 timing. I bought pods and am thinking of going to 28mm carbs, will i notice any difference from a stock airbox with stock carbs? Or did i waste my money? black sunshine
Did you buy them already? Post was a little contradicting. Considering stockers are 26mm, unless your getting a smoking deal on them I'd say you have better things to spend your money on. Save up for shocks, a-arms, tires. When the time comes for a rebuild you may want to have a stash for porting and 30mm+ carbs.
DirtDiggler69
Just switching to pods and you will notice a difference but you will need to rejet , anytime you make a change to the intake of the engine you MUST make sure you are getting enough fuel/oil to protect it . The oil ratio doesn't change , but if you increase airflow , you must increase fuel to compensate . I also suggest if going to pods , use UNI dual stage foam filters and outerwears pre-filters . That's the best protection you can have for your 2 stroke .
