So Cal Suspension Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 so when i run my bike the tailight will work but the headlights will not. does this sound like a wiring problem or bulbs? Throw a multimeter on your light plugs and see if you're getting any power when the bike is running. It could be wiring, or the switch took a dump. Quote

I just went through this and another member posted this link for me, I read it and there is a ton of great info. spalding Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Posted January 11, 2012 the switch for the lights which is lo and hi work for the tail light , so i guess i might replace the bulbs then see if they work Quote
sheerider11 Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Use a meter. No point in replacing bulbs if you have no voltage. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 the switch for the lights which is lo and hi work for the tail light , so i guess i might replace the bulbs then see if they work The switch has seperate circuits for the headlights and taillights, therefore the switch could be bad on the headlight side and still work on the taillight side.
