So... I know my 18" fast trekkers+snow are a no go

I usually go out on the snowmobile packed lake with my buddies a handful of times over the winter. I'm gonna need a tire that will actually move my shee in the snow. However, it really only has to last for those handful of rides out there. I've seen the Pro Wedge II and I'm going to pursue a pair of those, but I'm not sure they're made for a 10" rim. I've read the AMS paddle tires don't last for s**t. The thing is, I can get a pair of them shipped to my doorstep for $46.98. Think I can make them last for 3-6 rides out on the lake?

how much snow do you have on the lake? if you're only talking like 3-4 inches at a time cause it blows off alot then get yourself a old set of tires....really doesn't matter tread life and go get some snowmobile studs.....just make sure you put a little silicone around them on the inside. We do it here for lake st. clair. siht's scary when you see a guy pushin his cr500 across the parking lot with a rear time FULL of 1.25" studs out his rear tire. I don't quite understand how those 2 wheelers feel safe out there on the ice......ill stick to 4 wheels....thanks.

I have fast trekers on my wifes warrior and they go in the snow with no problem. And the AMS paddles are the ticket for the price. Whats the problem with them lasting you if only go in the snow a couple times? Im running the ams areospeeds in coal and have about 5 rides on them and they still hook fine.

I haven't tried them yet in the snow yet. We're actually very late on getting snow up here in northern illinois. Plus I've got my engine apart for a top end. I ride my buddies' Honda TRX 250, 400, 450 etc. out on the lake with them and they're on their regular dirt tires and it's a blast. I did a ton of searching around the web yesterday and got mixed reviews of what do to in the snow. Some people say banshees just have too much power and spin the wheels. Then others say they're fine. That's why I figured I can't go wrong with those AMS Sidewinders for 20.99 a piece for 22's. I've seen a bad review with pictures of those AMS paddle tires wearing out real fast, but if I stay in pure snow, I couldn't imagine any brand new tires wearing out in a handful of rides. And if they do, I guess I'll just sheet metal screw the crap out of my fast trekkers.
