ok, as the title says.. ive got a thick white (almost looks like milk) leaking from transmission, i know its transmition oil but.. does this mean the oil has mixed with the coolant?

the motor has been freshly rebuilt and i took it out for a test drive only to notice a loss of power and a the motor stopped running so, i pushed it back home and as soon as i stopped it just leaked the whole load out!. ive blown a motor before, and this felt exactly the same! but, to my surprise.. i tried firing her up again and the motor runs just fine.. the thing is, the transmition leaked all its oil out, and it was a thick white fluid.. the same fluid was also found in the radiator. no, i didnt go hard on her and yes i did check the dipstick and its covered in white.

could someone please explain the cause of this and what exactly is this fluid mixture and a possible solution? was it assembled wrong or is it something else? i tried searching for "white fluid" and "white oil" but got no results.

It doesn't take much coolant to make a milkshake out of the oil. Unless it was like 50/50 oil/water, drove it for a long time, or have a high out put motor for a shorter time, it should be fine. Besides fixing the coolant leak you also need to find tranny leak before/as you tear it down.
