medley Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 My motor is 21cc domes, .040 over ,28mm keihin pwk flat slide carbs, cool head and compression came outtobe 160psi.the guy I bought it off of said the engine builder built it to run on pump gas and race gas will burn it up. I have read that I should ne running race gas. I dont know what run. Haha Quote
lms1977 Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 your probably at the limit with 160lbs and good pump fuel I would not run more than +4 timing in it. and not sure you could burn it up with race fuel that does not seem to make sence?? Quote
camatv Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 most likely its the other way around.. around here all the craigslist "specials" are the fastests banshee ever built, and all "have to be run on RACE fuel".... Quote
medley Posted November 23, 2011 Author Report Posted November 23, 2011 It doesnt make sense to me either. It should be safer on race gas unless the builder was talking about oxygenated fuels and it going lean from switching from pukp gas and not rejetting. The timming is at + 4 right now too. I forgot too mention that. Quote
06specialedition Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 You will be fine running pump. IMHO once you reach 170psi is when race fuel is needed. Quote
medley Posted November 24, 2011 Author Report Posted November 24, 2011 (edited) should i mix it 50/50 then since im close to 170? i can get cam2 and its 102octane un leaded. Edited November 24, 2011 by medley Quote
2004LEBanshee Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 I mix 50 50 and im around there. Its not much more but it gives a little added comfort. Quote
