I have just done a topend rebuild on my 2001 banshee and i got it started and it is backfireing from one cylinder and the other is still runing and blowing plenty of smoke i have tried pulling the carby's off and cleaning both idler jets and main jets (and the carby's are the standard eletric ones to)

and it won't idle and it is really hard to start. i have tryed switching the spark plugs around and it made no diffrence, it has plent of compression and spark and i dont know what to do next

It sounds like it is sucking air from someone check your carb boots and crank seal the best way to do this is with a leak down tester hope this helps
