thomas h. Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Please post up your opinion. Some one tell Kevin of herr jugs to chime in. I suspect T- Rex to be it but really I don't know. I mainly dune and punish yfz450s. Not much for drag so I want to put my money in mid range power. Thanks Quote
camatv Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 heads?? or you mean top ends?? best that i have experience with: pv cheeta others that i would deff consider twister. t-rex in my opinion and probably many others is its to junky and to hard to get parts.. like pistons.. maybe if you did a domed pistons and remade the head? dirtydownunder Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 pretty sure kevin doesnt like PV's full stop. Quote
thomas h. Posted November 5, 2011 Author Report Posted November 5, 2011 Twister has a nice website. They don't do pv I guess but nice stuff. Will a twister power curve start as good as a cheeta pv? What will the touqe start low too? If they are close then it's better to go twister and I really like that twister is cast vs nickel seal. Quote

RadarRacing Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 For the money a powervalve setup usually costs the serval cub is hard to beat at $1000 bux if you want a hard revving motor with lowend and mid plus hard hitting topend. You could build a 10 mil serval for less than a PV motor unless you get a deal on a used setup. Quote
Redline Racing Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 The T-rex cylinder are extinct. So you are left with Trinity and the Cheetah cylinder. This is a great setup, but very pricey. I would suggest the Serval motor. This motor will smoke the T-rex motor, be alot cheaper to build than full size cheetah. The early Twister cylinder were available in a PV model but I dont think it is anymore?? Quote

Here's my old 10mil big block twister. It used powervalves out of a skidoo 800. Quote
thomas h. Posted November 6, 2011 Author Report Posted November 6, 2011 Sweet motor I didn't see that option on the website. What was the down side of your motor bigred? What would you do for a low to mid range banshee. Quote
