does this stator look like it' s still good?

Only half of the stator is rusted the other half is shiny metal

What does it read when you ohm it out across the coils?

have not done that and not sure how to do that. I have a meter but never used it to check oems. how do you do that?

Put the meter on about 200 ohm scale. Make sure the leads are in the holes for checking ohms. Go to this link and the specs are right below the wiring diagram.

thanks for the link lots of good info in there. so if it test good then its good but I was curious about the rust. not sure how long it's been there. It was running when I tore the bike apart and the rust was there then. but now I'm going back together after my facelift and just makeing sure everything is good.
